I have worked with animals in a variety of settings including veterinary clinics, shelters and daycares/boarding facilities. My educational background is in Zoo Animal Technology and Psychology. In my personal life I have a passion for adopting anxious dogs, helping build their confidence...and spoiling them like crazy!

I understand how nerve-racking it can be to trust someone with your pet's care, and I will work with your individual needs and concerns to make sure it's a stress-free and fun experience for you and your furbaby.

Why Petsitting Over Daycare or Boarding?

From my experience, as both a client and an employee of boarding and daycare facilities, I think that it's very hard to deliver good quality of care when you're watching such large quanities of pets.

I boarded my dogs at a "luxury" facility several times and frequently saw through the cameras that the staff was not putting  bedding in the kennel, so my babies were sitting on concrete for long periods of time until I called and asked someone to put their bedding down. Worse still,  I watched helplessly through the camera as they gave one dog's prescription eye drops to the other dog. It was difficult to get a hold of someone, and they didn't show any concern or awareness of possible medical implications for the dog who got drops she wasn't supposed to get.

With the one-on-one setting of pet sitting, I am able to provide individualized, specific care and be more responsive to the animals and more communicative with pet parents. Not having to divide my attention between dozens of animals means your animals get all of the attention and will be absolutely pampered. I am also able to offer quieter, gentler alternatives to pets who are stressed out by the noise and traffic of high volume facilities.
